Guide's report

Jan 23 - Eagle Lodge guests were not able to get out due to difficult icing conditions. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge guests were able to sneak out for several runs.
Jan 22 - Some flat light, but overall great big mountain skiing, soft powder turns in the alpine among spectacular spires and peaks.
Jan 21 - Full day of skiing. Eagle Lodge: Great tour out to Crème Brûlée, Grands Montets and back to the sandbox. Tweedsmuir Park Lodge: Great day. Persevered through a convective cell and skied a full day with some pretty good snow.
Jan 20 - Awesome afternoon of skiing in the sunshine above the clouds. 95cm of snow in 2 days. The coverage is definitely above average now in the Matterhorn zone.
Jan 19 - More than 100cm of storm snow (40-60cm overnight) which brought some great tree skiing for Tweedsmuir Park Lodge guests. The snow was up to the doors of the helicopter when it lands, and up to your waist walking around the heli!
Jan 18 - Transfer day out of Anahim. It's been snowing lightly all day. More snow expected tonight and tomorrow, which should make for great conditions.
Jan 17 - Really super amazing powder skiing: sunny, no wind and POW!
Jan 16 - Everyone was finding their own private glades in the Stupendous and Tsini zones. Faceshots, knee deep powder and small pillows galore!
Jan 15 - Some exceptional skiing at treeline and below, with blower low density thigh deep snow. The cold temps are helping to preserve this.
Jan 14 - Arrival day and guests had a short ski day due to cold temperatures. Windy in the alpine with good snow conditions below the treeline. 50cm of new snow in this last storm!
Jan 13 - No guests until the 14th.
Jan 12 - No guests until the 14th.
Jan 11 - Skied some incredible blower pow in the trees on the way to the airport, then guests flew home.
Jan 10 - Alpine conditions were a little tricky due to winds.. but the trees proved to be a winner with face shots and deep tree skiing all afternoon!!
Jan 9 - Lots of snowfall again meaning no flying today... but a perfect excuse to recoup from the epic skiing the day before!
Jan 8 - Best day in recent memory! Phenomenal skiing in perfect early winter light. Haven't seen this much snow in years!
Jan 7 - Arrival day and it was snowing way too heavily to get out for a few runs. Tomorrow looks like it will be incredible!
Jan 6 - Great ski day! Treeline has super deep snow was protected from the wind.
Jan 5 - Soooo good to get out! "Snowmageddon happened" said Woody. Our CEO and founder Beat escaped the office and headed out. He texted me to say it was"Truly awesome".
Jan 4 - No skiing...snowing BIG TIME. Head guide Woody said "So much snow it's crazy. Storm of the century?"
Jan 3 - 45cm of new snow overnight! Alas, conditions didn't allow us to head out.
Jan 2 - Sooo much snow. Taking it easy on mellower terrain while everything settles. Even though it was transfer day, we still managed 5-6 runs! Awesome.
Jan 1 - Holy moly! The guides have reported well over 100cm in the past few days….and a contact at Environment Canada said we’re due for at least another 100cm!!! The guide’s report : "This last storm has dropped over a metre of new snow in the Alpine, and in sheltered areas the skiing is fantastic. Coverage has vastly improved in the last 3 days and guests were popping off pillows in the trees today.”
